View of the Bird of Paradise from the Beach

Bird of Paradise villa's pool overlooking Caribbean Sea

Who rents a villa? At the Bird of Paradise we have movie stars (sorry we can't name names) who require privacy, multi-generational families, couples and singles traveling together, wedding parties and just a single couple have enjoyed the "Bird" when they wanted to celebrate a special occasion or stay for a length of time in lieu of owning their own home.

If you have experienced the serenity, comfort, and luxury of vacationing at your own, private villa, the question "why rent a villa?" might seem strange to you or the answer self-evident. But, for many who have never experienced the ambiance of home ownership while on vacation, the question might be important, so here are several factors to consider when deciding between vacationing in a home or staying at a hotel.

Privacy.

Only you and your guests are on the property and in the pools. No strangers. The staff works only for you and at your personal schedule. There are no hotels or resorts sharing the beach at the Bird of Paradise. Your stay at the Bird will be quieter, more romantic, more restful, and more enjoyable than at a big and possibly crowded resort hotel.

Comfort and Spaciousness.

The Bird of Paradise is designed as a private home, not as a hotel. When you walk in, you will immediately feel at home. Custom-made furniture with big stuffed cushions and pillows, fine bed linens, Jacuzzi-style bathtubs, a fully-equipped kitchen for those who like to cook, multiple verandahs and chaise lounges only for you, wireless internet, free telephone calls to the U.S. and Europe and more. If you're traveling with a family or friends, you'll have the privacy of individual suites, each with an equal panoramic view, but also multiple, spacious living areas for sharing time together.

Cost.

The cost of renting the four-bedroom Bird of Paradise is far, far less that the cost of renting a similar number of rooms at one of Anguilla's major hotels or renting a villa at a resort. Usually about 1/3 the cost. One of Anguilla's well-known resorts charges $9,000 per night for a four-bedroom, 3,600 sq foot villa with a pool. The Bird of Paradise is 8,000+ sq feet and has 3 pool areas.

Should you do a price comparison, be aware that most resorts only show net rates and you need to add on for service charge and government taxes, all of which are included in the Bird of Paradise rates.

All the Services of a Resort.

All the amenities of a resort are available to you at the Bird of Paradise villa. We have 24 hr concierge, housekeepers, a masseuse, a chef, a bartender, a sommelier, and several boat captains should you wish to charter a yacht. Frette linens, bathrobes, slippers, Bvlgari amenities, Voss water, fresh orchids are all standard.
